The four page article delves into Llewellyn's Hispanic background, her love of racing a prostock motorcycle and shares stories of the person who meant the most to her, Victoria Martinez her grandmother.  Martinez raised Llewellyn until she was 3 years old and taught her about her Hispanic heritage.  "Most people may not know, but Spanish was my first language.  "My grandmother thought I was nuts for wanting to drag race a motorcycle, but she supported me none the less" said Llewellyn.

The popular San Antonio based rider garnered lots of attention as she progressed to the final four in the Countdown to the Championship in 2007, winning a national event in Dallas and placing 4th overall in the national point standings after a 5-year hiatus.  In 2008 Llewellyn ran a limited schedule where she qualified at 5 of the 6 events she entered.  Her plans for the 2009 season have been hampered a bit by the dire economic conditions, but she is actively pursuing sponsorship opportunities and has every expectation of being back on a prostock motorcycle before the season ends!

Her personality and achievements have been recognized by Ocean Style Magazine, ESPN’S “Breaking Barriers” and the Women's Sports Foundation, where she is an active speaker for the GoGirlGo! Program.  She is also involved in Team Troops, a free ticket program aimed at showing appreciation and support to local military members.

2009 marks our 15th year of publication. During this time, LATINA Style Magazine has become the most influential publication reaching the contemporary Hispanic woman.
