Hello! my Fabulous Fans! I have missed you tremendously and you're probably thinking then why haven't we heard anything from you? I can explain and before you ask, no I'm not retiring and giving up racing all together but when life happens as It has in the past for me at least my plans are temporarily put on hold. I have learned in these times to be ok with the setback because the comeback is far better! While I was not racing before returning in 2023, there were good things that happened to me such as obtaining a college degree, Dayzha graduating high school and college there were also not so good things such as my mom having stage 4 breast cancer and my father closing SE Cycles. There were plenty of other life occurrences but what I mentioned is what stood out to me. This brings me to my father, my staunch supporter in life and racing, my biggest cheerleader (although my mom is a close second) who was also with me in February 2023 as a re-licensed for NHRA PSM. He suffered a devasting stroke in July 2024, getting the call on that day from the hospital is one I will never forget. Fortunately, my father made in through the stroke and then suffered a grand mal seizure in December 2024, come to find out these seizures are a side effect of the stroke. After those two devasting health events my father continues a slow and steady progress as of this post. I was navigating through my father's health crisis and creating a new temporary normal for him when in February 2025 my dearest friend and cherished longtime sponsor Bob LaGuardia of Diamond Bar Choppers passed away. It's hard to quantify the sadness I felt. I'm not going to lie; there were days I would just go through the motions to get through the first couple of days of receiving the news from Dee (Bob's wife, The Boss as Bob would affectionately call her). My hope was for Bob and my dad to share my next winner's circle with me. Which they will, it's just going to look different.
Wix.com has done away with forums and added blogs! which I added to my website to keep in touch with you. Social media is great and all but to connect with my fans personally is what I value the most. My old school self has learned that if your algorithm changes you are toast on social media as to when and who sees your post. In closing of my first blog post, I just wanted to touch base with you and overtime I will share more on my dad, there will also be a racing category that I will have because as I said in the beginning, I'm not retiring or giving up racing all together. It's a pivot moment. Talk with you soon!
