Pomp & Circumstance

I start this blog with a heavy heart ❤️ as our beloved Pom Pom aka POMPONES passed away on 09/20/25. As I have shared with the passing of Bob from Diamond Bar Choppers, grief comes in stages and this is no different. Pom Pom although was 19 years old, being selfish I wanted 19 more years with her 🤷🏽‍♀️. She was an amazing fur companion and gave our family many memories to cherish especially when I want to breakdown in tears. Such as now as I wrote this blog. 🐾💔

My Father whom celebrated his 79th birthday on September 24th couldn’t believe Pom Pom was gone either. She would always lay under his bed or get up in the middle of the night and go to his room, you know to check on him and make sure he was doing okay ❤️ Which he continues to make progress but sometimes circumstances that are out of my control come to the forefront, not going to lie I second guess myself. I have no training whatsoever in the medical field but this is my Father and it’s a requirement as his daughter to provide to him whatever is needed that includes his diet, physical, occupational and speech therapy, stroke rehabilitation and so on. I will say this, his awesome team of nurses are always a phone call away and here to answer my many questions. There is no timetable for his ❤️‍🩹 recovery as it’s on going. One thing that is for certain is his love for NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing and when I tell him I’m working on the 2026 season his eyes light up. Although I have to re-license ( yes two years have gone by 🏍️💨) with the goal of Gainesville and more races to be determined. As you recall in my last blog, I’m working on a DIY project. I turned one of my closets into an office. Well “working on” means I just pulled the carpet, picked the vinyl flooring and wallpaper 😂 The rest I will leave to professionals and when I say “professionals” it’s CFFOFTEXAS (& sponsor).
